Our healthy all natural food recipes using flax seed, broccoli seed sprouts and other organic foods are so delicious!
It's just a matter of getting creative, and giving your meals a little boost.
Jackie has used this recipe for over 30 years. Some things have changed over the years, of course, but some things stay just the same!
3 eggs (or substitute with Sprouted Flaxseed Powder and water. Let stand until it combines.)
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup chia gel (mix 1tbsp Chia Seed Powder 1/4 cup water, let stand until it forms into a gel)
1.5 c. sugar or substitute with your favourite substitute.
6 mashed bananas (use frozen/defrosted ripe bananas for easier mashing)
2 3/4c. all purpose flour
1/4c. sprouted flaxseed powder
1tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
Combine the eggs, oil, chia gel, sugar and mashed bananas in a bowl. Be sure to mix them well! Use an electric mixer if you have one.
In a separate bowl combine flour, flaxseed powder, baking powder and baking soda.
Put everything together, and keep up that good mixing!
Pour into 4 small, or 2 large, well greased loaf pans. You can also use muffin tins for handy portion sizes.
Bake at 350 for 30- 45 min. until golden.
Add hemp hearts, walnuts, and/or chocolate chips if desired.
